Okay, so it's Aikido bar story time is it?
Yamada Sensei gave a seminar in Woodstock. After class some people dropped into a local tavern. Yamada Sensei went and sat at the bar, watching the Yankees lose on TV. The door swings open and two bikers stride in. One of them looks at sensei and walks up to the bar. No one was close enough to hear what was said, but the biker backed away and drank quietly with his friend in a corner table.
Years later, we're talking to one of our yudansha about a forthcoming trip to Woodstock about places to stay, things to see, etc. He suggests this little bar he used to go to. He told us about how he and his friend had gone there after trying out his cycle. He walked into the bar and saw Yamada Sensei just sitting there, watching the game. He went over and said, "Hi, Sensei, how are the Yanks doing." "Aahh, just terrible!", said Yamada. He didn't want to disturb Sensei, so he took a corner table a had a nice visit with his friend.
